Please note this seal kit uses the large main sprocket shaft seal that is size 27x52x10 : Inner dimension 20mm, outer dimension is 52mm and thickness is 10mm. This seal also has a small tab on the outside of the seal that mates into the crankcase. This is normally the correct size for all of the 1976 1977 1978 XL175 engines. We have added a close up this this seal as a reference above.
Take a moment to look at the sprocket shaft seal on your bike and see if you can see the tab..if you can..you need this set..if it does not have the tab you need the earlier design/ set....which we do have elsewhere on our website.
Honda did change to bigger sprocket shaft for 1976 1977 1978 years..and uses this larger seal that is 27mm x 52m x 10mm.
We do stock a oil seal kit for the earlier XL175 engine on our website that uses the small 20x52x9mm seal....so if you need that...please look on our website for that kit.
