Discover the secrets of a professional barista with SCA Barista Skills Intermediate!
This barista course provides an intermediate level of specialty coffee knowledge to develop barista skills. It covers topics such as espresso extraction and milk steaming for efficient and consistent results. Students will be able to confidently craft specialty coffee drinks, unlocking their potential in the coffee industry.
An intensive 3-day course that immerses you in a series of practical training exercises suitable for those who work in the specialty coffee industry or are seriously considering becoming a barista. Students with a solid knowledge of basic skills learn to work efficiently behind the bar, to do latte art, to keep the equipment in proper condition and to master customer service skills.
Successful candidates should be able to create and prepare a recipe, prepare a wide range of drinks with quality and speed, as well as understand the basic requirements for high-level customer service and equipment maintenance.
The class will last three days 9am-5pm each day including snacks and refreshments. Upon completion of the course work, students will take the SCA Barista Skills Intermediate practical & written exam online. After passing the exam, students will earn a certificate issued by the Specialty Coffee Association.
